Excellent choice ;)

Maury compares the Martin OM-42 vs Martin OM-28 Authentic 1931. Don't make me choose! :guitar:

Maury, I liked #2 best. It had the most presence and brilliance in the mids.

I would rank them 2 - 3 - 1 for me.

Both is the best answer !~!~!

The OM-42 for fingerstyle (why I still have an OM-45) and the Authentic for flat/cross/hybrid "pickin'". Two super guitars with different strengths.....;)

Lots of chatter around these parts about the Martin CEO7 & the Martin 000-18. Which one do you prefer? Why?

I have a 2005 OM-45 TB (flamed Engelmann over flamed Tasmanian Blackwood), #23 of 29, it's the "looker" of my collection.........;)

They both sound good. I'm surprised by the degree of similarity, but I think I prefer the CEO-7 because,

(1) It seems to have a little more going on in the low mid-range; and

(2) When I play the CEO-7 I own, it sounds terrific, but when I play the 000-18 I don't own, the non-existent guitar doesn't sound like anything at all.
