Amps! (Electric Guitar)

We spend a lot of time talking about electric guitars, pedals, accessories so here's a thread for electric guitar amps. What's your go to amp(s)? Do you prefer tube, solid state, or modeling?

Here's the amp I've been playing every night for the past 2 weeks. It's not my favorite but it still does a great job. It had been sitting for a few years so I decided to pull it out. It's a Traynor YCV50 Blue with EL34s. Made in Canada.

Was there suposed to be a pic there Dru?

This is my go to amp I've had since '92. She's a '72 Twin. She looks like she's been run through the ringer, because she has, but what a sound!

Currently it's a Mesa Boogie Transatlantic 15 through a vintage 30 equipped cab.

For lazy/quiet time it's a Vox AC4.

Nice!

I have a '67 Princeton Reverb (post-CBS but still blackface) that's fantastic.

Lot of love out there for Fender amps!

These are my two. I no longer gig, so this is all of the wattage I need.

Wow, that amp looks like it's seen some great playing days ... and some great ones ahead too. Glad you can see the pics now.

Yup that amp has been through the test of time. I've been thinking about recovering it and getting new Tolex. I had it re-capped and tubed last year and what ever else my tech wizard does for it and it's freshened up real nice except for the looks. But then I don't know, there is something special about showing ones age too.

This, Marshall JVM210c. 6 voices and a bunch of knobs for an infinitude of sound options.

For years before I got the Marshall, I used one of these, a solid-state Gibson G-115 plus an array of pedals. For a solid-state amp it sounds great, but I don't think there's anything that will quite touch a good tube amp.

I say leave the tolex on and show the battle scars. That's assuming it can still protect the speaker and doesn't muffle the sound.
