NGD! Gibson ES-335!

So the day finally came (after a few UPS delays) that my brand new 2016 Gibson ES-335 Studio came to its final resting place. I can not believe how well this guitar plays. I thought I knew what a great guitar felt like in my hands (having played several Fender CS and Nash Teles), but man.. the neck is fairly thin as it is a “soft c” shape, but it feels extremely comfortable to me. The tone is your typical 335 airy and beautiful sound. The neck has a ‘57 Classic pickup and the bridge is a Super ‘57 Classic I believe. I don’t have any complaints so far and my wife hates that I have been ignoring her for the past few hours. I know there have been a lot of complaints about Gibson’s quality control, but I can’t find a single flaw on this guitar. And if there is a blemish, I can’t find it. Anyways, here’s a few pics (I didn’t have natural light, so I’m sorry for the poor quality)

Congrats on a great guitar. I love 335s. Make sure you have both a Vox and Fender to play her though!:D

Right now I use a Boss Katana, but I’m looking at getting a Milkman Creamer or a Tyler JR-14. Just gotta come up with $1500...

Very sweet Gibson. Also nice that you don't have any minor Gibson "issues" to observe and obsess over. Enjoy this positive experience.

I’m very thankful. I got this on a Cyber Monday deal from Chicago Music Exchange and I had heard a lot of people were returning their guitars due to issues, but I guess that was earlier in November. I guess recent orders were more thoroughly inspected.

I’ve heard people bashing them, so I thought I would need to change them out right away. Yeah, those people are insane. These pickups are some of the best I’ve ever heard.

Sweet! Congrats on the 335. I think the Super '57 Classic you're referring to is known to many as the '57 Classic + (plus). It has just a little more output than the '57 Classic.

Enjoy!
