I live nearby and have played most of the guitars in SanDimas collection. This Aura plays beautifully with nice low action and no buzz. While very nice on the couch, it really excels plugged in. Has an awesome sound thru the pa and an amp. Would be a great performers guitar. In my opinion, way better than the newer performing artist series and better looking too. The lacquer loss at the back of the neck by the headstock is really a non issue. I wanted to take this home, but was reminded that I also have too many already!

Bump... I have my eyes on a composite

The headstock finish issues you see are just in the finish. The neck is otherwise in perfect shape. The finish was damaged by a reaction to the foam in a guitar stand...

Bump - $1700

I have the dreadnought version of these and I own some crazy high end guitars as well. I will say that if this one is like mine this is a ton of guitar for the money!! Mine plays sounds and looks like a $4000 guitar. Good luck with your sale.

What kind of flesh-eating guitar stand was that?
|
Apparently a common issue with Martin finish and rubber
|
Oops, this one is so beautiful, look like a five-thousand guitar!

Sweet!
Beautiful axe and sterling pics. Lovely home!!!
I lived in Azusa age 7-11 and played baseball in San Dimas park many times... Faded memories of the dim and distant past.... Best on your sale of this pretty and no doubt wonderful axe!!! Cheers Paul |
Thanks Paul,
My screen name comes from my collecting of Charvel guitars and not from having lived in San Dimas. Funny because Charvel started in Azusa. Quote:

Trades considered - 12 fret 00 or similar

I owned one of these for 6 years. It's the most versatile guitar out there. And there's no other Martin pearltop priced anywhere near this budget.

additional info
Any idea of the approximate age of this guitar? Any issues with the neck?
thanks |
No issues with the neck, aside from that lacquer melt at the headstock
