"Fargo"..Just Keeps Getting Better

Just watched latest episode and thing are beginning to converge and inevitably collide.

I'm also getting about half a crush on Carrie Coon, or at least her character. David Thewlis continues to amaze with his performance and while I had doubts about Ewan MacGregor, he does a great double role. Funny thing is Thewlis just made another movie, "Legend", in which Tom Hardy played both identical twins.

The nugget tonight was a voice over reading the intro to "Peter Wolf". It finally dawned on me that the voice was of "Fargo" alumnus Billy Bob Thornton.

I'm also liking the little gimmick with the sensors for doors, faucets, and dryers.

Caught up with the last 2 episodes over the weekend. The one where Gloria goes to LA was a complete waste of time. An hour to find out where the step-dad got his last name (Stussy) - from the toilet he was barfing in. We already knew that his killing was just a stupid error.

What's the main premise of Fargo? I've never seen it before but someone mentioned it to me last week that they enjoyed the show.

I'm only at the beginning of season 2 but it appeared to me that it was going to be a completely different story than season 1 (kind of like true detective). Are you saying it will all start to tie together? That would be cool.

Seasons 2 &1 tie together with a couple of the characters - season 2 happens before season 1.

Have you seen the movie? Murder, whacky coincidences, kooky characters in snowy North Dakota and Minnesota.

....i'm really loving the creativity they're bringing to the show this year...the robot cartoons last week and then the Peter and the Wolf music angle this week were simply outstanding film making....the best show on TV that i know of...

I hear that next season will be the best yet, set before the events in season 2, , ,
filmed in Ireland , with an entirely British cast and some puppets.

Definitely worth the watch. This is the third season, and it's shaping up to be just as good as the previous 2, which were stellar.
Think black-comedy, crime drama, with lots of deception, intrigue and murder. Throw in mid-western charm and accent with folksy dialogue, great writing and top notch acting performances.
It's one of the best quality shows on the tube. That, and "The Americans". Both on FX too.

Just ordered Seasons 1 & 2 from Netflix. Thanks for the recommendations....

Latest episode was a hoot. Some really funny lines. Surprise guest star playing the widow Goldfarb. Thewlis was just insane, gotta think this is what he will be remembered for for a long time. Can see it heading towards the finale and it looks like it will be bloody.

Best portrayal of an IRS agent ever.

It took me a few minutes to realize the IRS agent was the same guy that played Julia Louise Dryfuss' brother on "New Adventures of Old Christine"....what can I say ...I've had a crush on Julia since Seinfeld.
He's a pretty funny guy.

I was stuck on the widow Goldfarb in her "Matewan" days.
