I have for sale a pretty unique OM style built by Pizzecci Guitars. Don Pizzeck is luthier in VA who uses very interesting wood combinations to build custom one-off guitars. These are built as a hobby by Pastor Don Pizzeck using the Italian family name of his ancestors. The bodies are hand made of solid wood, often very creative tonewood choices, with neck/head blank parts from Martin.

The label inside the sound hole (see photo) details every aspect of the build, but here are the basics. This guitar has an Engelmann spruce top, laurel back and sides, 7-layer Black Walnut binding, cedar neck, Martin Micarta fretboard, holly fret markers, ebonized rosewood bridge, herringbone sound hole rosette, real bone nut and saddle, chrome sealed tuners a thin satin lacquer finish.

In terms of condition, the guitar is in excellent shape. The plastic is still on the pick guard and there are really no signs of play. It was recently set up and sounds great. The only thing I changed was that I swapped the strings for D'Addario 80/20's and replaced the plastic saddle pins for bone pins. It has a balanced tone that will cut through the mic of other instruments or vocals.

I will say, if you want a factory fresh, mass produced guitar with no nooks or crannies, this may not be for you. These are hand built by a true craftsman, but even he admits that there may be some slight finish flaws. According to Pastor Don, areas such as binding may not be always be perfect on his builds. That being said, to my eyes, I see no issues with this guitar. It has a wonderful hand-built feel and is will likely be different from any guitar in your arsenal.

Comes with a hardshell case that is in very good condition. It does have one dent in it.

I had Don build me a guitar a few years ago. Wonderful instrument. It's actually pretty high up on my list of guitars that I wish I hadn't sold...and that is quite a list!

Mine was very resonate and balanced. Easy playing guitars.

Good luck with the sale

Very cool peghead design. I really like how the top follows the contour of the upper case "P" in the logo.

GLWYS!

Is the neck a set or bolt-on design? What are the nut and saddle space widths and what is the scale please?

kriso77 01-05-2018 02:22 PM

its a bolt on design.

Scale length is 25.5"
nut width is 1.75"
string spacing at saddle is 2.25"
