NGD: Synergy X20 Super Treble
Been waiting, what seems like forever ;-) , but it was definitely worth the wait... it's beautiful!!
Many thanks to Sean for his patience with me, Alistair for his superb artistry, and the rest of the Emerald team for everything else. It'll be a while before I can get something worth recording - I'm an HG newbie - but in the meantime, here are some pics... http://www.amgardelectronics.co.uk/images/0015.jpg http://www.amgardelectronics.co.uk/images/0002.jpg http://www.amgardelectronics.co.uk/images/0006.jpg http://www.amgardelectronics.co.uk/images/0007.jpg http://www.amgardelectronics.co.uk/images/0010.jpg http://www.amgardelectronics.co.uk/images/0012.jpg |
Nice!
I actually discovered Emerald by looking up harp guitars on the net. Then I saw the Chimaera doubleneck and bought that instead. Any pics of the case? I’m curious what you would get from Emerald for that. I still have an interest on adding one of these to my small collection of extended range instruments. The Emerald gig bag works well for my doubleneck.

Harp guitar comes with a gig bag as well
|
WOW! That is a work of art! Congratulations!
|
Oh, that is beautiful... I want that EXACT same axe.

Dear Amgard,
We're so delighted that you are pleased with your new Synergy X20 Super Treble. This was a particularly beautiful piece of Bubinga veneer. Wishing you lots of fun getting acquainted with your new Emerald harp guitar. Best wishes from all the team, Sean |

Your suggestion for the Bubinga/amber/vintage gold tuners was a master-stroke, they go together perfectly. Thanks again.. |
Wow. That is nice! Congratulations!
|
That is spectacular! Just curious, what's the weight?

That's a pretty awesome instrument. |

It weighs 3.8kg without the gigbag - 700g of that is tuners!! |
Thanks for the pic...
... and the mug shot too :) Cool thing I’ve noticed about my Chimaera is I don’t have tuning issues. Stays in tune pretty well, which is real important when you have an instrument with 18 or more strings. Good choice with the Emerald harp.

Beautiful piece of work! Enjoy!

And, between gigs, you can slice your vegetables very evenly.
|
I think you've got Gurney Halleck's 'baliset' there.:D
|
|
Very nice!
|
Stunning instrument...just dying to hear it! Emerald guitars has set the bar high with these instruments! What strikes me about these harp guitars, is that those playing are quite accomplished classical guitar style players. Just beautiful.
|
That's ultra cool. Man. Congrats.
|
You now own a true work of art! Yes it is a beautiful guitar but it should be proudly displayed as a high end art piece because guitars should not look that good.
|
Awesome harp guitar!!!!!! What a work of art! Harp guitars always look so hard to tune to me!! :)
|
Wow! That's an amazing instrument. Can you explain the tunings for the lower and higher strings?
I'm traveling with my wife to Ireland this summer for two weeks while she works there. I may see about paying a visit. |
Definitely go by Emerald in County Donegal. I went last fall. Played the Synergy X20 and almost brought one home with me. Instead I opted to go for a custom guitar that hopefully will work for me even better. If I had the funds I would have several of their stock guitars already including the Synergy Uke and X20.
|
I feel bad for any of your other guitars!!!!.....Mine havnt seen daylight since I received my Emerald harp guitar six months ago....Congrats!!!!
