Dreadnough around 1200$
Hello everybody.
This is my first post here. I'm looking for a new acoustic guitar: Dreadnough, with electronics and natural color. I play mostly rock, rythm guitar, I like to play quite hard. My budget is around 1000 €, what would be around 1200 $ if I'm right. I'm from Spain. I've seen different models I like: -Martin DRS2 -Takamine P2DC -Takamine EF341 (I don´t like the color) ... Which one do you think is better? Any other recommendations? Thank you very much in advance! |
Check out a Larrivee d-03 if you get the chance.
Oh yeah, welcome to AGF! |

Dreadnough around 1200$
Some considerations in your price range:
Eastman E20D, E10D, E6D, E8D (You’ll need to have a pickup installed in the Eastman.) Taylor 110e Walnut (Good sound and very nice pickup) Martin DRS2 (Very nice guitar with a Martin traditional tone. You’ll want a pedal or preamp to improve the amplified tone). Yamaha A series (Excellent acoustic/electric guitars in the price range. The neck is a bit too slim for me, but you might like it. ) |
Welcome, Yamaha A3R or Martin Custom D or maybe even an Eastman.

If you want loud go with an Eastman
New: Eastman E10 or 20D Adirondack Top Lots of headroom, punchy and powerful. E6 or E8D Sitka Spruce Top a little less headroom and warmer. Larrivee' D03 -nice balance and loud enough. Used: Martin D15M with pickup- Warm and lots of bottom https://reverb.com/item/7538260-2016-martin-d-15m-w-k-k Gibson J15 with pickup https://reverb.com/item/9993216-gibs...-natural-gloss |

I'm not familiar with the newer Guilds, but those would be another option.
Also the Larrivee D-40 or SD-40. Blueridge. |
Martin Road Series dreads are nice, I've liked almost every Martin Road series I have played.

Larrivee D-03 is as good as it gets for the money

$1,200.00 can get you a great used guitar.
Never buy used without a test drive but be sure to consider them in your search. |
