Gospel Song Lyrics
There's an old "Southern Gospel" song I remember from my childhood ("preachers' kid") that is entitled:
"In The Arms Of Sweet Deliverance" I remember the first verse and chorus, (I'll be performing this as a Bluegrass number at a Bluegrass gathering on the 22nd), but I don't remember the rest. Anyone have the full lyrics for this? |
Geez.....I just posted this today, and already it's obsolete.......lol......guess I'll have to reply to my own post to get it into today's "New" list......

Soupy - This may be what you're looking for.
I can't vouch for the accuracy of these lyrics, but here ya go Chorus) In the arms of sweet deliverance Gonna lay my heavy burden down And with my Lord I'll abide When at last my traveling days are done In that land somewhere beyond the sun In the arms of sweet deliverance In the arms of sweet deliverance I shall rest by and by 1)Troubles I've had much more than enough Many a days my path gets roug Many a day I wondered what to do Then I talk to my God in prayer Shows me that he is right there Whatsoever may come he sees me through. 2)I've read the book of how the Lord was there To reign upon the good and the bad But wise is the man that waits upon the Lord When trials and sorrows multiply I will not ask him the reason why For sweet is mine that only heaven can afford.
