only one guitar?

I am always drooling when I see how many guitars many of the posters here have. Who finds one guitar to be enough? If I could afford it, I would probably have more that one guitar too.

If all I could afford is one guitar, I would make the best of it.....

Wardo 03-28-2015 06:50 PM

I think one guitar is enough but these days I have a couple more.

I could easily do with one guitar...I spent much of my younger years with just one. I have more than one now because I can.

I've always found one guitar to be enough. My dreadnought was a gift from one of my sons, otherwise I wouldn't have two.

One guitar would be liberating to some degree. But my group always reminds me that I could be playing something else...somewhat distracting at times? But blessed none the less to be the care taker of a nice group of acoustics.

I could live quite happily with one guitar and I did for many years. It would have to be a dreadnought though.

I'm no hoarder so one would be fine. I anticipate a day in the near future... decade or so, when I decide to downsize and stay in a couple of places for a few months at a time, when one will be what I do again.

Sometimes I think it would be nice to just give one all the attention.
And I could get by with one. But I have several because I love them all.

I have ADD. I'm always buying or trying to sell something.

Got rid of 2 guitars recently which left me with a 'once-in-a-while' 12 string, my Martin Smartwood, and my new D-15M.

Now I want a 00-15M.

Rockguy475 03-28-2015 07:13 PM

One is more then enough.

Ed-in-Ohio 03-28-2015 07:14 PM

I would say that I could make do with one guitar if I had to, but I do like having multiple tools in the box.

Interestingly, back in my days of mainly providing accompanyment in a band or ensemble, I would have chosen a Spruce/Rosewood Dread if I had to live with just one.

However, since I am now almost exclusively a solo singer/songwriter type, I'd choose a Spruce/Mahogany 000 if I had to "eat just one". :)

Suppose it Could. I could also eat the same exact food for every meal. Could wear the same clothes every day. Go to the same place for vacation every year. Listen to only one kind of music all the time.

I think that my Rainsong or my Taylor could be an only guitar, but they all get along so well.....
