Lol! Cigar breath and Jiu Jitsu is a great way to have your training partners avoid you like the plague. A cigar after training feels great though, along with a beer or scotch. [emoji23] Past hobbies I'd love to get back into are: motorcycling, souping up and racing cars/motorcycles, snorkeling and bodyboarding. |

One of my hobbies until earlier this year was judging photography competitions at camera clubs - but having lost my voice and strength from the cancer treatment I've had to cancel all bookings for this ad next year and refuse new invitations.
My other passion has been growing our own fruit and veg on my three "allotments" (pieces of ground rented from the local council. Most of this year's crops have been poor because we haven't been able to maintain them well enough. I've been suffering from "Cabin fever" for most of spring, and summer, and now have winter to keep me at home so I'm thinking of some sort of Adult education challenge but this afternoon's search showed a pretty poor choice in my area. Maybe I should write that book. |

As it is now, no, just playing guitar. When our youngest was preteen I used to make wood forts of my own design and buildings out of plaster of paris for him using Hirst Arts moulds. I also painted toy soldiers (usually 1/32 scale, but some smaller too) and actually taught myself how to make moulds of the toy soldiers using a silicon based mix (got the idea from Hirst Arts) and then made copies. I made more than a few copies of those Lord of the Rings larger scale figures (horses too). I might go back to some form of that activity when I retire, just for the heck of it.
I had built our son a "battle table" that went 3/4 down one wall of the basement and then a 6 foot piece at a 90 degree to that. It was about 3 feet wide, covered with that fake grass paper you use for train sets and castle wall paper along the table. He played with those soldiers and buildings for hours and hours. He's almost 22 and from time to time he still thanks me for all of that. |
Formula car auto racing...I'm the starter for three professional road racing series (Formula Atlantic, Formula 2000, and Formula 1600).
