KT Tunstall's whisky guitar.
A Fylde guitar made from wood from whisky casks.

KT is one cool woman. I'd love to have her out for a wee dram, and a wee jam. (Hey, I love Talisker too!)
As for the guitar itself, it has a pine top and oak sides ...not your standard tonewoods ...there must be a reason, oh wise luthier's, why people don't use oak and pine in guitars? |
KT IS cool! My wife and I both like her--just showed her this pic. She knew KT in an instant. Her "looping" song is simply great--and if you never have seen her perform it, it is a revelation. I think she had a Gibby on that-not sure. The woman has some pipes and knows how to strum an ax. I suspect she'll have that guitar for a good long time. All I know is I would LOVE to share a drink with her (with my wife along, of course--)

That's cool. Reminds me of the Taylor "Pallet" guitar.

This would be one guitar that I would spend a great deal of time smelling. :D

KT really is a great talent -- I really like her "Eye..." CD, and am really looking forward to her new CD in September. If anyone is interested, she has an acoustic CD of b-sides and stuff out on Amazon -- saw it the other day -- might pick it up some day |
Eye to the telescope is good and I too look forward to the new CD in Sept. The one that everyone here needs to get and for some reason doesn't get much press is "Acoustic Extravaganza". OUTSTANDING! It was recorded in two days in Scotland in a little house and IMO is her best work.
The aforementioned "B-sides" is really good also. Another one floating around out there is "Tracks in July" which is just her and the guitar. No backing band. http://www.acousticguitarforum.com/f...te=1&p=1234169 http://www.acousticguitarforum.com/f...te=1&p=1234169 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EVtg_...elated&search= http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M0j_VEs3kXA |
