Please Recommend A Luthier Near Ft. Myers/Naples Florida.

I have a Martin HD-28VS that needs a saddle replacement. It's the old style long saddle. I want someone who really knows how to get the best out of the guitar with the new saddle and setup.

I'll be in Ft. Myers Beach starting October 8th.

How long you gonna be around? I'm coming the 20th - 28.

We'll be in Florida till April.

Check with Jon, he has a local luthier that does his work for him. And they are very familiar with high end Martins so the long saddle won't be a stretch for them.

Ross Teigen in Naples.

Denny,

Just realized that must be the one you got from me. It has a drop in bone saddle - not glued in, so easy to replace.

If you were going to be over my way I would be glad to do it for you, but I'm sure Ross will take good care of you. He does all my work that is beyond my experience level.

Ross Teigen in Naples......

I've got to recommend Ross Teigen in Naples too. Altho' I live in England & buy guitars from the USA intermittently, I send them to my buddy in Florida first. He checks out any guitars & if they need to be adjusted, fixed or whatever then my buddy takes them to Ross. He's performed miracles on some of the guitars & he prices reparations very reasonably. In all honesty when I've seen photos of the same guitar BEFORE going to Ross and then photos AFTER the job's been done.....it's like a totally different guitar. The guy's brilliant & not expensive either. So I give Ross 5* anytime, you can't go wrong! Hope this helps & good luck!!:D:D:D

Super old thread, but since it came up on page 1 of a google search for Naples luthiers, I thought I'd update to save folks time in the future.

Ross closed his Naples shop last week. Says he is moving to Gainesville and hopes to open up a shop there in another year. I asked him who else might be able to do some minor guitar work in the area, to which he replied "I haven't got a clue." He obviously didn't want to be bothered.
