Wah Pedal Help

What is a good wah pedal for my acoustics. The smaller the better.

No love for wah pedals here?

YamahaGuy 09-24-2017 12:06 PM

I don't have room on my board for one. When I had my Peavey Vypyr VIP-2 with Sanpera I pedal, the wah pedal on it was quite good, but I seldom use wah for the style of music I play most often. My Zoom G3X has wah pedals and even the auto wah, which I kind of like. Anyways, I hope you get a few more replies. I get the vibe that many members of this forum do not get pedal crazy.

I have been getting used to this , I have had it a short time
and it's not hard to get the idea of it's use . It's designed for
electric but , it can do your acoustic too . Rodrigo & Gabriela
use electric guitar stomps on their acoustic nylons to perfection .

It's USB dongle allows you to use it with recording to your DAW too .

I have it hooked to my T.C. Helicon Voice Live 3 X and use it for electric guitar , acoustic nylon
, resonator and my Shure 520D Green Bullet harp mic . Some mount the ring on their guitar
headstock instead of putting it on their finger/thumb .

For something more traditional at 20% smaller with new electronics and features and great sound
While not cheap @ $265 it is arguably one of the best on the market
It has Bass & Treble controls and Bias and Q controls

Thanks guys for coming thru on some ideas. I saw a guy the other night use a Wampler to perfection and he really wowed the audience with his wah. He used it on lead only to add a unique sound to basic acoustic guitar tones. Of course its good to use it sparingly unlike me when I use my heavy tremolo on an entire song I wrote and the listeners love it.

Hotroad,

For something budget friendly and a very small footprint to save space on your pedalboard, I would actually recommend the most obvious choice to suit those 2 needs:

https://www.amazon.com/Dunlop-CBM95-.../dp/B00SKJGWCI

It's under $100 bucks, saves space, and has 3 different wah voicings with the internal 3 way switch. These are very popular for a reason. I've used mine with acoustic and it sounds great.

Just my 2 cents...
