Free Audio/Video Sync - HitFilm Express 2017
 

More free stuff for cutting video on a PC - HitFilm https://hitfilm.com/ is oriented toward video effects/compositing, but it includes editing capability. There's a Pro version with a price tag and a bunch of add-ons to buy, but the Express version is a free download and it includes automatic sync of audio and video.

My first exploration of HitFilm left me underwhelmed, but I took a second look and found my way around a bit better. Then I stumbled over a YouTube tutorial that showed the audio/video sync and realized that they really have something going on.

In addition to this audio/video sync feature, HitFilm also supports keyframes, a very useful feature that's missing from Shotcut. HitFilm seems a bit "heavier" than Shotcut though, so it will probably benefit from a more powerful computer system. And Shotcut is available for PC, Mac, and Linux, while HitFilm only runs on PC and Mac.
