A cheap but OK electro-acoustic guitar?

Hello,

In a price range of $200-500 is there an electro-acoustic guitar that you think sounds good and that is not too difficult to play?

Thank you for your help.

Budget Acoustic-Electric Guitar

I used to own one of these:

It wasn't bad for the price. I donated it to the youth worship team at our church...

If you are looking for an electro-acoustic (and not an acoustic-electric), I have a very clean Godin LG for sale. Mahogany body, Les Paul-style, has two pickups, and a piezo under the saddle. Uses a blend circuit to dial in a combination of electric sounds with an acoustic flavor.

PM me if interested, and we'll talk price (it's in your price range).

No sorry I meant acoustic-electric, ie an acoustic guitar in which a pickup system is installed.

I hope I don't get in trouble for recommending a Fender (They don't seem to be highly revered around here) but here's an all solid wood acoustic electric with a nice hardshell case on sale for $400 http://www.musiciansfriend.com/produ...tar?sku=513895
I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on one myself. With that price and MF's return policy, why not?

Seagulls sound great and would be towards the upper end of your price limit. Their prices have been slowly rising though so hopefully its still the same since i last checked. they are a little wide necked but are also short scale. i'd say (and a lot of people here will agree) it's a really good guitar for the price point... i owned one for a long time. A&L is their budget line which is even cheaper. Should be in your price range.

i also dont know if you have a guitar center near you, but i went maybe a month ago and they had epiphone masterbilts at clearance prices... i dont know if it was just my store or not... but anyways, while they didn't have pickups in them but you could have easily put in a K&K western mini in it for your price range too.

The Avalon Silver line guitars are great at twice the price. Until they're gone you can find them on Ebay from one dealer. Well within your price range and great guitars.

In my opinion, Alverez gives consistently the best value in that range.

I don't own any Alverez guitars yet, but I've had that opinion for quite a while, and am currently having a G*A*S attack over a nylon-string acoustic-electric, in that price range, at the local store.

Alvarez Guitars ~ Regent series. Once you open the URL, scroll down the menu bar on the right for all models with factory-installed pickup systems.

Play on, pick often, and prosper. Best regards....Kabookie

Hi tochiro...
This is a nice guitar with a pickup in it. Sounds great both acoustically and through a PA or amp.

Guitar

I've got one on the board right now that I know is a great guitar. It'll even leave a few $$ in your pocket. Let me know what you think.
