Joe Bonamassa Plays 1919 Gibson Style U Harp Guitar — Video
|
I can only dream of being 1/100th of the guitar player Joe is, but I've got to say the guitar sounded lousy to me and he only strummed the low base string one time on the harp side of the instrument. Was expecting a much more integrated playing style between harp and guitar. Better than I could ever do, but disappointing for me as I guess I expected more from Joe.

Cool!
Remember also that Martin Taylor plays one with Dave Grisman on the Tone Poems II album. |
Joe is an absolutely amazing player. That's for sure. I like this video...

And this one too...

Joe is awesome and I rank him amongst the top players in the world which is why I was expecting more from the OP video.

Pretty cool vid, thanks for posting. As previously noted, I am a bit disappointed that he wasn't playing the harp part of the instrument more than just the one note at the end.

Can't we have just one guitar forum without Joe Bonamassa threads?

I'm a big JB fan but that wasn't playing a harp guitar.

A little disappointed someone of his talent didn't attempt to play the harp part of that guitar more.

It simply doesn't count as harp guitar playing unless you play an independent bass line on the sub bass strings:
