Jon Bon Jovi's all-black acoustic?

Just saw Bon Jovi on "The View" and Jon was playing an all-black OM or 000-size guitar, no cutaway, with a square headstock (so it's not his usual Takamine) bearing an abalone tree-of-life style inlay similar to Martin or Blueridge and an abalone rosette and top binding. Could not see a logo. Anyone know if this is a Martin? If not, what brand? Has Takamine begun to release square-peghead guitars? Does Collings make such a model? I was surprised to see him strumming it, since it's not a dread.

I just watched the video on MSNBC and you can't really tell what kind it is. It looks like a Martin headstock but without the Martin label on it.....
here is the link to the site where you can watch the concert:

Looks a whole lot like the alternate Martin torch to me.

I'd also say it is a Martin. Nice looking guitar!

Definitely the Martin Torch.

...then again, Collings has a torch that is nearly identical?

Maybe Norm actually Ebay'ed the Esteban again ! (Even Jon couldn't pass up a deal, maybe ? ) :D

It is indeed a Martin. Very likely not his guitar (many times on these TV performances musicians don't have their guitar and play what is provided). He's a pretty loyal Takamine player.

It's probably an all black version of Ritchie Sambora's signature OMC-41. I believe he uses that one in the video "You can't go home" with Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland.

EDIT: Missed the part about no cutaway, so that rules out the OMC-41 RS.

Shhhh...We OM players don't want anyone to know how versatile these guitars are! ;)

Looks a whole lot like the Clapton Belliza Nera (sp?)
The black 000 EC sig model.

I think you would mean *re-release* square pegheaded guitars. Let's not forget that they actually started out as Martin wannabe's (good ones at that) and even had the foil logo in the same font as Martin. Hence, the 'lawsuit Taks', even though there never was actually a lawsuit over it.

And, I don't think Collings has ever produced a black topped guitar, and only a few shaded top (sunburst). I could be wrong on that, but it would be easy enough to find out.

I think RickS got it right as well.
