If you happen to be in the Pacific Northwest, the occasional duo of Mark Goldenberg and yours truly is coming to Portland November 22nd. Mark is the quintessential tasteful LA session guy, and longtime sideman to folks like Jackson Browne, Bonnie Raitt, Keb Mo, Willie Nelson, Peter Frampton, Linda Ronstadt, Chris Isaak, Hugh Laurie… He’s on soundtracks ranging from Toy Story to American Hustle. He was also one of Ted Greene’s students for a decade. We are recording a duo album this Winter in Los Angeles, and we’ve got a bunch of new original tunes and covers to try out. This should be a great show - I wish I were in my old home town to see it. Mark Goldenberg's solo album is one of the finest recordings of guitar music I've ever heard.
