Waterloo; I'm IN, baby!
In other words, NGD. New to me that is.

Congrats! Nice looking guitar! Enjoy!

Sweet... congratulations! :)

Tried to buy an X-braced version from a local guy who, now that I think about it, maybe didn't really want to sell. But demoing his gave me a pretty good idea about the playability of the Vintage V neck which - for me anyway - is a lot easier than was my CEO7 (may it rest easy in its buyer's hands). It doesn't have the "cheek" like the Martin does. Makes a big difference to me.
Looking for another WL-14X, found this one at a good price, so I decided to take a walk on the L-side of the street. Early returns...I'm surprised by the projection and sustain. Then again, I'm new to ladder bracing, so what did I know? |
Congrats! Since I own three, I feel you can't go wrong with either L or X bracing. So light in weight too that it's like holding nothing in your hands. They're too much fun to play!
|
"Light in weight"? Have you the opportunity to try one of the S models?
Lightest of the lot. |
Congrats! I just received my WL-14 yesterday. I test-drove one with the full V-neck before ordering this one with the "small neck". Still a chunky neck, but with a softer V shape.
|
Still haven't had the chance to try the "smaller neck," though I'd love to A/B them.
|
Congrats! Two here, a WL-14xtr w/ smaller neck and a WL-12.
|
Nice! I'm a very proud WL12 owner, and have to say that these are exceptional guitars in every respect. Anyone who thinks they're limited to blues rags hasn't played one much!
Congrats! |
Congratulations on a fine purchase!

Yes, I own the Deluxe model, or Stella as some call it, and it is light as a feather.

Hi upside down,
Well, the ladder brace is true to the Kalamazoo KG 14, so you’re hearing the sound a lot of blues got played and recorded on. I had a KG 14 for quite a while, and it sounded less refined than its x braced kin, but it had a quite distinctive edge to its tone. Happy NGD! |
