textured paint for speaker cabinet

ready to paint my guitar cabinet with textured paint. Is Duratex that better than say Sherman Williams Niche brands textured paint? Duratex is triple the price for a quart.

Speaker cabinets are made with tolex coverings. Tolex is readily available and water based adhesive can be used. It will wear and look a lot better.
