Best clean boost pedal
I know this is an acoustic guitar forum but.....what, in your opinion, is the best clean boost pedal for electric guitar. I play contemporary Christian music. Right now my set up is a Taylor T5 into a vox wah, OCD,Fulldrive II, boss tremolo, DD-6 Delay, Super chorus, Volume pedal. I am looking for a clean boost in my set up I have heard that the Durham Electronics Sex Drive is the just about the best on the market. I have also heard that the Fulltone Fat Boost II is another good one. I just want a clean signal boost for my chain. any opinions??

I've used and had alot of success with the BBE Boosta Grande in the past, it's just 20db of sheer clean non tone colouring boost

I think Robert Keeley is supposed to be the best clean boost pedal on the market. Don't have one personnally, I have a mxr micro amp that I really like but again keeley's katana is supposed to be all that and a bag of chips

I have used the Xotic RC Booster with very good results. My signal chain is a Taylor 912C w/D-Tar Wavelength, through a Fishman Aura (Concert) Pedal, through an Xotic RC Booster to my Acoustic Image amp, through a Yamaha 12" PA speaker w/horn tweeter. I think it's great for a clean boost when you transition to single note stuff. Just a nice, clean, warm boost.

I've used the RC Booster with good results, used to own one that I traded for an OCD v 1.4, though I now miss it...
Keeley stuff is top shelf, as well. He doesn't make a bad pedal or do a bad mod. |
Thanks for all the suggestions everyone. I have a Keeley Katana on the way. it should be a nice addition to my already over packed board.
