Hugues & Kettner Era 1

I bought a Hugues & Kettner Era 1, two days ago, and still test driving it, but I must say this has been the best acoustic amp I have ever used. I am using Taylor and Martin Acoustics and Vocals.

I already own a Bose Compact L1, Roland AC33 and a Behringer ACX1800. I used to have a Fishman Loudbox Mini, but this Era 1 with all the settings and 250w power beats all.

I tried it last month and compared to a AER compact 60 and a HK nano 608i.

Both are quality acoustic amps. I tried them with a Martin HD-28 with Trance Audio Amulet with my personal DIY IR pedal (Think Tonedexter or Fishman Aura).

* The ERA 1 was better on vocals and a bit harsh on guitar
* The AER was really bad on vocals and better on guitar (warmer).

Note that both sounded good with the Amulet alone.

To my surprise, none of them sounded good with the IR pedal... (Note that the IR pedal sound good on my SR/Shertler and on my Laney AH4x4)

Then I tried the HK nano 608i... which is of course much bigger and heavier but costs the same price as the ERA 1. Well the IR sounded great on the HK nano 608i. HK nano 608i sounded great for both vocals and guitars.

Maybe ERA 1 and AER are voiced for piezo pickups?

Anyone by chance do a shootout between this and the Mesa Rosette? I have my eye on the Mesa, just not much info online yet.
