Anyone use a "Portable Power Station" for their board and/or powered speaker?

I saw these mentioned on another board as an easy solution to providing power where electricity is hard to access. Thinking of picking one up to try with my tiny singer/songwriter rig.

My power needs are simple. I have a small board with a ToneDexter, a looper and a Stompmix 4, then I have one small powered speaker.

Supposedly these little batteries will run this sort of gear for hours without a hitch.

Any users?

I bought one of these to use in case of power outages due to fire danger here in CA, plus a solar panel to charge it.

Although I haven’t tried it yet, based on the specs for my BOSS Acoustic Singer Pro (Power Consumption 50 W) it should provide up to 10 hours of playing time.

The same company has a 250 watt model for less $$.

This one -very light and portable.

Powers two portable 60 watt acoustic amps.Plus 3 pedals.

I thought about going that route, but got a Bose S1 pro with battery instead. Just seemed a lot less complicated.

I had bought this one per the recommendation of another member here. It can power a QSC CP8 for a reasonable amount of time.

I bought this one a while later to power a CPAP device if I lose power. It as well does OK with the CP8. I think one that can output 300w might be a good choice as it can run longer if needed. Unfortunately no longer available.

Both of these have come in handy for power outages and having lights (LED fixtures) on at night. Much better than starting up the generator for short term use.

Make sure it at least claims to put out Pure Sine Wave. Some audio gear can sound horrid if given choppy waves.

The ones posted so far should, I know the Jackery models do. Am not in any way an electrical expert, but think it could possibly be better than regular household current.

These batteries work well on my pedalboard. > 24 hours
For your system all you need is a small pure sine wave inverter of good quality.

For those interested in this route I also recommend an electricity monitor.

120V AC, 12V DC 9V DC and USB
 

If I were to invest in a battery device like that I would need to power a small amp (120V AC) and a pedal board which has one device requiring 12V DC 500mA and up to 1.5 A of 9V DC. USB port nice to have also but I don't have any performance device powered from a USB port.

Has anyone seen a battery device in the 250Watt range like that?

I bought the smaller Nomad after an Aaron Short review. Overall I'm quite happy with it. The only hitch is not the designers' fault. The Tonedexter is a bit of a power hog and with the simplest, single-line power cable out of the Nomad, the only way I could reliably get through a three-hour gig is to use batteries in other pedals. (Did a test, a Ditto/Baggs chorus/TC Helicon harmonixer/Tonedexter lineup lasted just over three hours). Take the TD out (and put something else in its place) and no problem.

Outlaw responded to my query with a generously detailed analysis of power draws and recommended different cabling options (which outlets and such) that I haven't had the time to try yet. Love the Nomad and the customer support.
