Have you seen this Ibanez with the attached effects unit?
 

kaoss pads were a big deal for some for a while. If it's what you do, I imagine it's pretty awesome. It isn't at all what I do. I wish you could still get away with a Venture's style act :D

it was a musician's friend or GC stupid deal recently.

i'd like to try one but unless it is more than a stupid deal, probably wouldn't buy one.
