I was at Elderly Instruments yesterday and talked to the guy who brought this in. His friend made it. It was there to be verified as a World Record attempt for the longest playable ukulele.......13 feet. He said the current record is around 7 feet. It was pretty cool to see.

Not sure, but it took several to carry it!

I confess, I love stuff like this. Every life seems to benefit from a bit of silliness among friends.

Ukulele means "jumping flea". I'm not sure how to say "jumping giraffe".:D

I guess the guy who made it just loves to be creative and do crazy things.

I'm half expecting a punch line :)

I know this thread hasn't been active for a while, but I just saw it, and I couldn't resist.

"Jumping giraffe" in Hawaiian would be "kilape lele".
