Very impressive!

That's what they said about Napoleon! I have no idea whether he had a pleasant voice or not.
I played a lot of guitars at the show, by no means everyone's, and thought most have a very different sort of tone than mine generally, and this one in particular. The common sound is to my ear very mid-range warm, it is beautiful, but not what I hope for. I am after greater clarity, a good fundamental and a complete overtone sequence (one can hope!) and enough mid-range to sound pretty and complete, but not so much as to gum up the clarity. Bob's single 0 is a stellar example of my work, but it is not atypical in its tone, response, or balance, "merely" an overachiever.
Sometimes I squirm in thinking I am the odd man out and will be left behind as the future unfolds, but the general reviews I got from this show, and Bob's guitar in particular, give me more faith.
Thank you to all who have been so kind.
