Jim, I'm interested, too, if you're willing to let new attendees in. I'm in the west burbs, but of course, willing to make the drive to almost anywhere.

Like all who have 'been there' before... I'm planning to be there again! :) And the club is not exclusive... c'mon down! I'm sure Jim's good with that!

I didn't get the email, Jim. Our computer has been acting goofy lately. Could you send it to me or send it again? Thanks!

Once again I must tell you that I can't make it. By noon on the 16th we should be passing through Des Moines on our way to the Colorado 500 Charity Motorcycle Ride. It is a can't miss event for my wife and I. This will be my 17th year and my wife's 16th year of riding the Rockies.

So, have a good time and post all the great guitar stuff I missed.

It'll just be me, since Susan will be up in Da U.P. with her boyfriend (a pity, as he is a fine Celtic fingerstylist) and Katie doesn't play guitar.

Howdy,

I haven't been on the forum much, but ForensicGuy informed me of the get-together.
Unfortunately we are unavailable that weekend. :(
I certainly enjoyed last summer's outing and wish I could join you again.

Ah-- hey Jim ---hopefully I didn`t miss anything but isn`t it the 16th?? that would be two weeks away!!

I am going to try and make it this year if I don`t work and the kids can stay at Grandma`s as my wife works that day.

Looks like I finally got "activated." (Thanks to the busy moderator person).

I also got your email, Jim. And thanks to whomever passed it on to Jim.

I've been following this thread for a while wanting to respond. As I said in my email, I've been active on a couple guitar boards for years and have attended a bunch of "Gatherings" around the country. I'm really looking foreward to meeting some people more local. I'm a NW 'burbs person who has occassionally visited a few of the open mics in the area (Abbey Pub, Fitzgerald's, OTSFM, and others). I've been playing over 40 years. I play weekly in a church band and have recorded a CD of my own material.

I've always enjoyed the gatherings I've been to. I look forward to making this one (though, I've got an early afternoon family commitment, so it'll be pretty late afternoon before I get over there).

Thanks, again

Jim... Alicia...

I plan on being there on the 16th, along with JJFIELDS... and another interested friend who will gladly round out the jam with his Martin acoustic... and his 'oh-so-sweet' 52 RI Tele... if he can just find something to plug in to! ;) He's not a forum member... works for you?

I wouldn't mind plugging in my DDSM too as it's not very loud acoustically...

Any thoughts on that?

Russ - I can bring my Ultrasound 30 if you'd like. Or the Ultrasound 100. Or the Marshall AS80. Let me know, happy to accomodate.

Dale - Brian is coming? That's great! He'll have a great time!

Jeff: Thanks for the generous offer to bring an amp for me! Since the others will most likely not be plugging in, perhaps the small Ultrasound 30 should be sufficient. I've always wanted to hear one of these Ultrsound amps in action, so this is a great opportunity. Thank you! Of course you know that if I like what I hear, I'm going to want to go right out and buy one and that could be bad for me if my wife finds out! ;)

I'll keep the volume low enough to blend in well with everyone else. Thanks again for offering to bring an amp for me to use!

By the way, what time are you guys planning on being there?

Russ
