Any of our "factory scouts" going to the factory this week for a "tour" to see any of the TS guitars being finished?

Any more photos from our inside source?

With ya, bud. Was thinking about calling Uncle Ed to change something just to know if they'd started mine or not, but don't have anything I want to change.

Got a chance to visit with Terry (tvkruzan) the other night, and we focused on him getting to meet the family (I think he liked the PS14 best!!!), so we didn't talk too much about the 912Cs with redwood tops that we have both ordered, but it was obvious that we were hoping to see them soon.

Steve314......come in Steve.....or Mary ...come in Buddiesorg.......KSC calling SD....we need you to check something out.....

Is this sad or what? I am heading out to Tucson tomorrow for about 5 days. I am seriously considering renting a car for Tues and driving to San Diego for the day just to go on the factory tour and check out the guitars. I'm nuts! I'd have to leave Tucson at about 5am for the 6 hour drive and then leave San Diego at about 3pm for the 6 hour drive back. That is how bad I want to see my guitars.

I think I need to get slapped across the head to knock my senses back into place. hahaha

Right now, ANY pics would be appreciated!

I don't care which guitar it is. Show us a Cindy inlay being cut out, binding being put on, being glued together -- I don't care -- just show us!

hmmm...it's looking like I can go, take pictures, and set them up on a pay site. hahaha!!! That way it would pay for my San Diego trip. When people want something they'll pay anything for it. hmmmm....not a bad idea. ;)

I'll know Mon. whether or not I will go. I'll let you guys know my decision.

It's still up in the air. Jonathan is finding out some things for me and then I'll decide by tonight. At this rate it looks like I would be renting a car and driving over there from Tucson. This would be one heck of a day trip!

At least I wouldn't have to rush to get their by 1pm. Jonathan said he'd take me around no matter what time I showed up. I made sure to bring my digital camera with me to AZ, so I'm all set. I just have to get to San Diego.

If my guitars are somewhere in production it will be very hard for me to say "no" to driving. You'll all just have to pray that I don't fall asleep. So far the most I've driven in one day is 14 hours, so this will be getting close to my record. I'll just be drinking a couple 6 packs of Mt. Dew on the trip. I'll be bouncing off the walls by the time I get back to DC.

I'll let you know my final decision tonight.

Keep your eye out for a piece of rosewood with an unmistakable orange stripe down the center of the back...hopefully its already glossed and in final assembly!

Ahem, I would have to say that the PS14 was my favorite. But Tom kept handing it back to after trying each of his other Taylors. I found that I like the 1 7/8" width neck too on one of the other Taylors. The PS14 has this incredible sound that just rumbled and rang true. My thank to Tom and his wonderful family for opening their home to me while visiting Florida last week.

In 1989, I drove from Nashville TN to Alberquerque NM in 17-1/2 hours.

I was a vegetable after that trip...

I flew from Kauai to Honolulu, then to San Fran, then to DC, then got in a car and drove 10 hrs to school....26 straight hours of travel....

Or, my mom and i drove from San Diego to Vermont in 52 hours...straight shot...yikes!

Orange stripe? Uh ... I may have seen it ... was it about 2-3 inches wide in the middle ... rest is dark?

yup :) thats mine

Im pretty pumped up that my Indian Rosewood is recognizable and really distinguished...(not nec. better, but it has alot of character, which is sometimes hard to find with EIR)

I mean really, you can pick out cocobolo, braz, koa, or ziricote from a distance, but EIR often just looks like pretty, consistent, and dark grain

So is anyone going to bribe me to go? ;) I figure the trip would cost me $120 total. I take everything but credit cards. hahaha! You guys have about 5 hours to get me to commit to going. (hint....hint...hint) :p

P.S. I'm still waiting to get some answers from Jonathan, so that may weigh in my final decision.
