There is a rumor that Artie and Rory will be playing together. I have been to a few of these and they are great. There will be reps from Taylor and Martin and some special guitars.

Rob has built a great auditorium on the bottom floor of the store that seats a little over 100 I believe. There isn't a bad seat in the house.

I do not work for Melodee Music, but the Lord knows I support them by purchasing a number of guitars and amps from them. I hope to see some of you there.

Vic - Thanks for the heads up. And LJ will be doing a clinic there on Cinco de Mayo. Might have to make a couple of trips north.

I performed at this event several years ago. I think the billing besides myself was Howard Emerson, Happy Traum, and Dan Crary. I can tell you from my standpoint that it really is a fine venue, and the folks there were really great to work with. If you happen to make this one, make sure you catch Mark Cosgrove's set. He's a good friend of mine, and one heckuva good player. Sure would like to be there myself, but it's not to be.

I just confirmed with Rob at Melodee Music that the Rep's from Taylor and Martin will be bringing some special guitars. Apparently some from the Martin Custom Shop will be there on Sunday.

I hope you can join us. It should be a special day and the weather looks good for a change!

I wanted to mention that Melodee Music always has some great deals on guitars at Acoustifest. They already have great prices and discount from there. Come check it out if you can! You will have a great time and it is going to be great weather too.

LOL! Funny thing was I was wondering where I bought it and then the mention of Acoustifest brought it all back (and not like a bad dream!).

Well, it happened. Rory Block and Artie Traum played at the end of Acoustifest for over 30 minutes together. Rob, who runs the store said, "Wow and awesome!"

It was simply unbelievable. Well worth the price of admission just for that not counting the rest of the clinics. If you were there you know what I am talking about. If not, plan ahead and go next year. The clinics seem to get better every year. A great time was had by all.:)

Sounds like a good time. I'll have to make sure I don't plany my AGF party the same weekend next year. I've heard great things about this event and Melodee is a great music store.
