Sorry Guys!

We have had to postpone this event!

There are just to many hoops having to jump through with to late a notice and I'm home stuck in bed and would most likely only make a brief appearance.

I hope this has not caused any problems!

We are looking to move it to April or May, we will be in touch!

OK Guys,

The next N. Texas Get Together will be February 3rd at the Anderson Guitar Gallery in Frisco Tx (http://www.andersonguitargallery.com). I think this makes #8 in the series.

Those of you who know me know I'm the photographer for Frisco Style Magazine. A publication serving a large section of the most popular portion of the metroplex, we distribute about 60,000 issues each month.

The March issue is Entertainment & Leisure, the goal is to have a nice get together get some shots and it looks as though we will do an article on the AGF and the since of community created by those who have like interest.

I will be working with Steve and Jennifer to hopefully get some participation with some different vendors. It looks like we will have access to a nice size building just behind the guitar shop, in that location we can setup a stage for "open mic".

So commit now and lets get a great turnout!

I would encourage some long distance out of towner's to come and join the fun!

Chris -- you know I will be there, if I can. i've marked it on my calendar so unless we get a gig, we'll be there.

I can't speak for DonBob, but he'll be there too.:ha: :ha:

Let me know if we need to chip anything in to cover any costs for food or space or whatever.

I posted a link over at FDP, since I know that some of those guys have attended past AGF jams, and they usually behave themselves :D.

Well, speaking for myself ...

... looks like there's no need for me to do that.

An early request for a Travis picker out there to work on "9 Pound Hammer." I'll help with the rhythm and the vocals.

As jeffrey said in the other thread, "Frisco is 6 hours each way", but I'll put the date in my calendar and try to make it.

it is...but most of us (I've missed one) make the 6 hour trip the other way. Everyone is welcome no matter how far...or how close...that does include "The Ghost of Hondo".:D

And it's a long drive from SA either way. I did the driving to Frisco last year [and we brought the women :D ], and Phuufme drove to Lake Houston this summer. I'll probably drive up again in Feb all things being equal.

If these last two are anything to go by, this should be a lot of fun as well.

If I can be there, I will be.

Count me in for now.

But you guys know I'm in a gigging band now and we play quite a bit (we're playing 5 times in the next four weeks :)).

So it's too far out to know if I have a gig or not.

If I do not, I will be there. I'll just crash at Wade's or something.

I plan to be there...unless family, gig, or work schedule conflicts with the plans...ugh.

If I'm not in Europe I'd like to be there. I went to the first Lake Houston event but life has interfered since. Frisco is pretty good I'll take my wife to Palestine to see her sister and mother and scoot up to see you guys. If I'm not in Europe...

So far the weekend's still looking good. I'm duefor some surgery, but I"m hoping it'll be scheduled for the week after the Frisco gig.

Anderson's is such a cool place to jam.

I might be able to make it. I've scheduled a business trip to Plano on business Jan. 29 to 31 and Mansfield Feb. 1 & 2. If I don't have a trip scheduled the following week, I'll probably just stay over.

The girlfriend and I will put it on the calendar and see what happens. It's after her daughter leaves for Japan, so that's good. I've not been to Frisco, so looking forward to it. Anyone who can recommend a good place to spend the night, please post it here or pm me. Keep me posted on the open mic, I'll try to have a few songs ready to go. Let's hope for no late winter North Texas ice storms!
