Okay, this is jumping the gun a little, but it's just four days until production begins on the Taylorstock guitars. Now, where did I put my Valium? :D

Yeah, but if they're doing the 300-400 series first, my 814 could be years away. Okay, weeks. It just feels like years. :)

I am not impatient, I am not IMPATIENT, I AM NOT IMPATIENT...
It's not working!
I am patient, I am PATIENT, I AM PATIENT....
It's still not working!
I want my TS guitar :)
As I'm awaiting a TS 912c I think there's a sick justice in doing the 300 and 400's first.
Thanks Chris for reminding me about my guitar I had almost put it out of my mind. :ha:

Folks,
I am guitly as the rest of you! I can't wait for my two new additions to my Taylor family. I am trying to stay busy with other activities to pass the time. I have a feeling this will be a long fall and possibly winter? I sure hope not...

I'm MUCH calmer today............
Okay, that was a lie, but if I keep repeating it maybe it will come true.
Anyone want to guess the date of the first Taylorstock arrival (in the new owner's home).
Let' see....... production begins on Monday, 9/9. Let's say it takes a week to build and a week to ship, so my guess is the first Taylorstock guitar arrives at the lucky owner's home on.....
September 23rd. Any other guesses?

It's looking like a little longer than that, David. I learned today that normal production is 8 days for satin finish guitars and 9 days for glossy. Assuming that these are business days, that's just about two weeks, and since Bob will be inspecting them, it may be a little longer before they're shipped out.
Sorry to bring anyone down, but maybe it'll be a good lesson in patience. At least, that's what I keep telling myself.... :D

Cisco,
After reading your other thread (and voting for koa and Brz.), I think your's should be last.....you won't have any time to spend with the other new ones elsewise. Chris may have to come help you keep the guitar harem happy! CP?
Enjoy all those new works of art....Ron, you are the second luckiest man I know (I'm the first).

Ron, call me crazy, but if my guitar comes in before yours, I don't think I'll be leaving it at the store while you wait for yours to be completed. I'll be happy to do as Tom suggested, however.

Today is the day!!!!! WhooHoo!!!!!
The longest I'll have to wait is 4 weeks since they should all be done by the beginning of Oct. I wish you could all see the HUGE smile on my face right now. But I'm assuming you all have that same smile too.
Now it's just a matter of what day my guitars will begin to be built. Just waiting to hear from my dealer about that one little detail. :p He better hurry or I might get impatient and just hop on a plane to El Cajon and find out myself. hehehe

David, your guitar may very well be in the first batch of guitars to be built. As I remember, your Ziricote was already pre-cut and prepared for production. Correct? Cool, no?
Mine wasn't... My Ziricote was about twice as thick as normal and one side of it looked like they had dug it out of the mud behind the factory. :) Fortunately, the other side was cleaned off and you could see the beautiful grain. Once they get this wood set planed down, I know it's gonna look FABULOUS!
I think I'll have the only 12-string Ziricote/Engelmann that Taylor has ever made. mmmmm.... and flamed maple binding, too!

Who will be the first to get their TaylorStock guitar??? This is going to be an exciting time over the next few weeks! (Especially for me since my Redwood 514C is somewhere in the first run. Weeeeee!!!) :D

Now JR, don't go getting my hopes up. The ziricote was pre-cut and looked gorgeous. Hopefully it will happen fast. I'm trying to remain calm and even tempered about this. Here's the way I figure it:
Best case scenario:
The guitar is started today (and it probabaly won't be), it takes nine (?) business days to complete. So that makes a completion date of 9/19. It gets shipped out the next day and Steve gets it on the 23rd. The fine folks at Guitar Trader ship it off to me. I decide to pay for the next day air shipping fee and receive it on the 24th. This will only happen if all the plaets are aligned, yadda, yadda, yadda.
Worst case scenario (assuming no production problems):
The guitar isn't started until the last batch. That probably makes the completion date 10/18? The folks at Guitar Trader get the guitar the following Wednesday (10/23). They strap it to the mule and it makes it to Raleigh on 10/30.
The best case scenario is I receive the guitar in another 15 days. The worst case scenario puts the guitar here in 51 days. Let's just take the mean and say the guitar will be here in 33 days or.....

Okay, easy does it. I've still got more than amonth to go.
Just for the record I'm betting on the following:
First guitar: TaylorSmitten
Second Guitar: Cynbrad
Third Guitar: Cpmusic
I think the first Taylorstock guitar will be one of those three.

Well, then those three people better have access to a digital camera (or go buy one). I want to see what the TRCs and Labels are going to look like. I would rather not have to wait an extra month to see those little details. :p
First guitar: TaylorSmitten ..
OK David, I'm curious as to why you think mine would be first???
(I'm so happy they are being started this week that I can't stand it)
Really I'm hoping you can back up this guess, remember there were a couple of 300's ordered as well.
All of this is SO exciting to even think about, be still my heart....
Oh, don't worry Jenn, if I have to cram the guitar into my scanner I'll get you an image!!!

My estimate is that the first 3-4 TS guitars will ship on the 25th or 26th, and from 2-4 guitars per day thereafter until the 18th of October. There are 51 guitars total. Therefore, we likely wont be seeing pictures until around the 30th of this month unless some of the people can pick their guitars up from a local dealer in California.
Remember... you've got to include some time for the guitars to get to the dealers and then shipped again.

Hey David, I like your thinking! :)
Even if my guitar isn't one of the first, I'll be driving down to San Diego to pick it up as soon as it comes in, even if it means taking a few hours off work and facing rush hour coming home. I'll be sure to bring my camera along to get some in-store pictures (gotta have Steve314 in the frame!) and get them posted as soon as possible. My camera doesn't take great close-up shots, but it'll do the trick for the short term.

If you do that, then it would also be cool for you to take the factory tour so you can take some pictures of the rest of our guitars being made. I'm guessing mine will be near the end, so to ease my impatience a few "in the process" pictures would greatly help. :p
