Wanted to officially announce what has become an annual tradition.

What: Guitars, friends old and new, food, music, fun.
When: March 24
Where: My house
Who: Come one, come all

Like SteveZ's thread, this is open to anyone on the forum. It's a relaxed setting and there will likely be people of all different skill levels. Pretty much just an afternoon of fellowship, swapping tunes, stories, etc followed by dinner somewhere local.

Please RSVP here.

Looking forward to it!

John

John:

I'm sorry I did not get the chance to meet you at the last one (my first). Whereabouts are you located? It may impact my ability to attend, but I am a definite maybe at this point. I had a blast last time.

I would also like to try and make it if there is room for another relative novice. Meeting some good folks and playing a little with others sounds like a great idea.

John and all,

I wish I could make it, but I think that Laura and I will be taking Baby Z to visit her Grandma and Grandpa that weekend. If our travel plans change, I'll definately be there.

For those who were at the last get-together at our little row house in DC and have been asking about the baby, sorry I haven't replied but I really have not made the time to get online lately. Baby Z finally arrived just before Christmas (Dec 21st) and everything is great. I do wonder though how long it will be before my "guitar room" gets converted into a play room...

Here are a few pics of Clara Macy Zaccari... (sorry to momentarily high-jack the thread...)

SteveZ: Congrats! The build quality is excellent! :)

I wish I could make the gathering too, but I just found out about a wedding that is "required attendance". Bummer...

I'll put it on my calendar and will plan to attend. Hopefully, I won't be injured anymore and can at least hold a guitar (even if I don't play). ;) I haven't been able to touch a guitar since July because of left arm injuries. :(

Steve and Laura Z - Congrats on the new little bundle of joy! Awesome performance :D Get used to losing not only your guitar room, but your schedule, your free time, your sleep (for awhile)...aah but it's all worth it!

Back to the thread...I'm in!

Congratulations and a new baby is plenty a good enough reason to hijack a thread!

I'll put it on my calendar and try to make it. Again, where is the location?

Thanks for the kind words everyone. It is confirmed that the Z-family will be on a long weekend showing off Clara to her grandparents, but I will of course try to make the one after this get together. John and family host a fabulous get together that is always a great time.

Have fun and post the pictures afterwards!

Bump ...

Although my schedule has already been determined, I'd sure like to see lots of great pictures from what is sure to be a great time of talking guitars, looking at guitars, playing guitars... starting to see a trend...?? :D

Don't be bashed. These get-togethers are a blast!

Blah...it's my youngest daughter's birthday party that day. Sorry to miss another one, Cakes (at least I can lay claim to having attended the first one).

OK.. its looking pretty good that I may make it. We're planning to do our son's bday party on the 25th instead. Hopefully that would be a definite go. Would be really good so my wife can do her thing on the 24th and I could do mine....if you know what I mean!
