J.R. ..... and all others.....

Thanks J.R. for the update in the recent thread....great news!

Anyone recall the conversation during the Q&A session about the TaylorStock guitar labels...?

Will they be standard production labels with TaylorStock written in by hand? Maybe 'hand-signed' by Bob and not 'stamped' on? (Please ??????) :)

Also, just wondering if the guitars that 'vary from the norm' and get handled by the Custom Shop crew will get 'Custom Shop' labels.... ??

Anyone in the know on this?

And, lastly..... J.R. ....you may know....any hint as to what the TaylorStock TRC's will look like?

Thanks....
Rick

From what I recall, the TRCs would be "laser etched" with Taylorstock....don't know what the label sit rep is except they would be special.

For some reason, I was under the impression that all TS guitars would have a custom shop label. Can't recall if this is wishful thinking, a good dream, or something said at TS. :)

I also remember Bob saying the labels would be the custom shop label during the Q&A on the stage.

My order says something to the effect of TS Label and TS TRC, so there WILL be something unique about them. Bob said he was going to personally sign the labels, I'm pretty sure. And he was going to personally check each guitar before releasing it.:)

I heard the custom label thing, too. It came up because someone asked about getting a special Taylorstock label, and Bob offered the hand-printed Custom Shop label as an alternative. The TRC issue came about the same way when someone asked if we could get a Taylorstock inlay on the fretboard. I also remember Bob saying that he would be inspecting all TS guitars after final assembly. This is all very, very cool!

I think all of these guitars "vary from the norm." :) If I remember correctly, these were going to be Custom Shop labels that would denote TaylorStock on them.

The labels will be signed by Bob once he checks each one over.

Not sure on the TRC. Bob didn't give any details.

I heard the labels were going to be peeled off of beer bottles... I think Bud Light...

I was the one that asked the questions about Labels and the taylorstock inlays,

The answer was, on Labels they would be the standard Custom shop labels and will be hand written.

On the taylorstock Inlay thing, Bob said he would do it but, It was vetoed by the forum members. ( I still can't imagine why) so he said he would put special lasered Taylorstock 02 TRCs on them at no extra cost.

I believe the veto on the Taylorstock inlay may have been because someone else may not want it later, but I can't imagine anyone selling one.

He said he'd do it but it would be like a tattoo and folks might regret it. He then suggested the TRC. :)

I'd suspect however if people would like to put script on their necks Taylor would do it, at the usual extra cost.

Maybe that WAS it Tim.

I remembered it being about somebody not wanting it later on.
I still think it was a good idea Bob he may have been right, I've been known to make a mistake or 2 here and there. Lol

I was one of the ones that voted for the TaylorStock inlay... Then Bob mentioned that it was kind of like a tattoo, which made me think. He's probably right. I'm glad we didn't do it. The label and TRC are plenty - and generous of them, also.

No doubt, Taylor has been BEYOND generous to us :):):)

I agree, J.R. I was also one of the ones who eagerly raised a hand when asked about wanting the Taylorstock inlay. Then, when Bob said what he did about the "tatoo" reference I thought he made a great point and I saw the wisdom in it.
Hey, I guess that's why he's the guitar builder and I'm not. :)

I agree that Bob Taylor and crew were more than Generous,

His comments about the tatoo thing were well taken, and I agree that some people may have thought differently after he said it. but I still think it was a good idea. In the end I also agree that the TRC thing was probably the best idea in long run.

THANKS !! Uncle Bob.
