NC folks please read. [Archive] - The Acoustic Guitar Forum

Hi everyone. Thanks for looking. I have been playing for a few years and have decided that I want to try lessons to try to improve my "playing". If anyone knows a teacher in central NC (prefer the Fayetteville, Lillington, Dunn, Sanford area). Please pass on contact information to me.

If you'd be willing to drive to Cary, Danny Glasgow is there. That's kind of a hike, but he's quite good.

Danny teaches at Fat Sound in Cary. It's been a couple of years since I lived out that way, but I assume he's still there.

Another teacher you may want to consider if you don't mind traveling to Raleigh / Cary is Scott Miller who teaches out of Harry's Guitar Shop in the Glenwood South are of Raleigh - Scott is very good - teaches all kinds of methods as well as both acoustic and electric.........Jim

Kelly Joe...from your profile and other posts here, I have come to the conclusion that you are not, in fact, the acoustic guitar performer whose real name is Kelly Joe Phelps. How do you feel about appropriating another's name to post on the Internet? I think you're half way down the slippery slope of morally questionable impersonation. Unless that's really you and you use another person's email address...

Hello Rick - I really don't see it as a problem. He is my favorite artist and its not any different than having a handle like BeatlesRule, or anything in that fashion. I see it as a tribute to his great talent.............

Weird.

I have to concur on this one...there's a guy on UMGF with the handle "Robert Earl Keen"...who isn't. I think you both need to find your own identity.
