(Chicago/Madison area)Idea for a get together

I have an idea for a get together and wanted to see if many people would be interested. I'm going to college in Beloit, Wisconsin at Beloit College and I'm majoring in Recording Engineering. We have a nice studio down here that I pretty much run with a nice sized studio space, enough room for a group of us to jam. If some of you would be interested in a get together, I would consider hoasting something there in the studio after christmas, it would also be the perfect opportunity to lay down some tracks or something while we all jam. Just something for all of you to consider that I wouldn't mind doing if we could get enough people down here. Shoot me a PM or just respond in here, either will work.

(FYI, Beloit, WI is right on the boarder of Wisconsin and Illinois, half of the town is in Ill and half is in WI. It's approximately half way between Madison and Chicago.)

Ok, here's the thing. I'm defiantly going to have to wait until after Christmas break, I’ve got way too much to do until then. But when classes start back up next semester it's really easy going the first 2 weeks or so. I get back here the 15th of January so sometime after then would probably be best, prefebly on a Friday or Saturday. Throw me some dates that would be good for you guys and let's start planning this.

The weekend of the 19th & 20th might work--we don't have any gigs booked yet. Might be playing in Naperville on the 26th in the evening, but the rest of that's okay too. Except for the first weekend (when Susan is on vacation w/her boyfriend and I am free) Feb. is totally booked, however. (If Susan wants to come along, then all of Feb. is a no-go).

I prefer to wait until after the holidays as well. In January, the only date that is out for me is Jan. 20th. I have friends coming to my home that day. It wouldn't work too well to have them arrive as I'm walking out the door with a guitar or 2. :roll: Any other weekend should be fine at this point in time. February looks pretty clear on my calendar as well.

My revised schedule: I am gigging in Crystal Lake on Fri. night 1/12 and again at McHenry County College the aft. of Sun. 1/14; and in St. Charles Sat. 1/20. (The 1/12 and 1/20 gigs are Borders freebies). Am playing again in Park Forest Sat. 2/10 and have no weekends free after that until St. Pat's day weekend.

Yes, this is still going to happen. I wrote down the dates everyone put out but just from the look of it it looks like it might be on a date a few of you said you couldnt make it. I'll go back through and see if I can do something though. I'll try to make an offical date announcement by the middle of the week with directions and all that.

Well, from looking at everything I saw that a few of you said you couldn't do it on January 20,21,26, or 27. So, I'm thinking about postponing until Febuary. So I'm going to throw Saturday, Febuary 3rd out there. Tell me what you guys think of that. I get back to school this Sunday, so that will give you all some time to think about that. If by Sunday most of you think that's a good date, I'll double check to make sure the studio is clear and we are not recording anyone. So again, thoughts on SATURDAY FEBUARY 3?
