If we got into how many guitars I've owned in the past, you'd be late for work next week. Suffice it to say it's a tribute to my questionable judgement, decision making powers and GAS Fund.

I also have an unremarkable selection of amps except for a 1975 Fender Vibro Champ, which is my pride and joy, not to mention it was a gift from a co-worker.

I record using a Boss BR8 which is about to be sold, (anyone want it?) I have replaced it with a Yamaha MD8 digital 8 track.

Boy, do I feel out of place. I'm amazed at the amount of money that people have to spend on guitars. It's incredible how many guitars some people have. I have one guitar.

If any of you get tired of your excess Taylors, you can send one my way ( Ha!Ha!)

Don't feel bad, Mark. I think a bunch of us kinda wished we had ONE guitar that was totally satisfying.

Joe,

Well in my case, I don't have a choice. I understand how people can get TAS.

first, it's nice to see others on the forum playing G & L guitars!

Here is my humble list of guitars in my collection:

G & L Asat
Peavey Ecoustic
Norman D20cehg
Fender Mustang Bass
Seagull 6
Suzuki Folk
Aria Classical
Taylor 414ce

others that I have owned and sold:

Gibson SG jr
Hagstrom Bass, can't remember the model.

and one that my mom threw out...and how could she!

Silvertone Sunburst 2 pick-up beauty that I got when I was 13 in 1967. At that point, it was already a few years old. Left it at my moms after moving out...and she trashed it sometime in the early 80's. God knows...it was probably worth a few bucks.

Past (in order of appearance):
My mom's 1940's acoustic (very high action)
Yamaha acoustic (solid top)
Ibanez deluxe 59'er 1978 (Les Paul lawsuit copy) wish I still had
Peavey T-40 bass
Seagull 12 string
Ovation Custom balladeer a/e (1986)

Present:
Fender American strat (1998)
very modified Epiphone Les Paul Standard (2001)
Taylor 414ce (with newly acquired pink poodle!) 2001
Ibanez SR800 bass (1992)
Kentucky KM150S mandolin (2002)

I can't see buying anything else. If anything I might sell/trade the strat for a used Line 6 Variax in a year or too. Pretty cool instrument that is coming out this fall which will "model" around 30 instruments from a banjo, dobro, Martin 6/12 strings, Ric 6/12 strings, Gretcsh, strat, tele, Les Paul, etc. I have the Line 6 POD and Flextone II XL amp and have much faith in this company.
