Don't forget - you need to place your TaylorStock guitar order with the dealer of your choice by August 26th. Please inform your dealer of this deadline, so that they don't sit on the order.

Also, please be sure to sign the bottom of the custom shop order sheet where it says "customer signature."

As of today, Taylor has only received about a dozen orders of the 52 guitars that were specified. (I expect that this is mostly due to delay on the part of the dealers.)

Thanks.
J.R.

Both of my guitars are now on order.

I'm so giddy it's killing me.

Now time to sit and twiddle my thumbs until I get 2 UPS packages in a month or so. :(

I think the signature was the problem for some folks (or so I have heard). Just simply that they faxed in their orders to their dealer but neglected to sign it.

I signed mine! Just waiting for Pete Davies (Jr) to talk to Bob T about some custom inlay work.:) It's hard to play with your fingers crossed!

CAN'T WAIT!

I signed my form, and if I hadn't, I'm sure my dealer would have brought it to my attention. My order should be one of those dozen. Now for the wait.....I don't do waiting very well....

As far as I know, some of them will start getting turned out pretty quickly - within the next month. But some of the wood was in a very raw state and needs some work and kiln time. Also, be aware that these guitars are going to be walked through production very carefully. No room for error on these babies. We know from experience with JW's guitar that it's too easy for things to go wrong real quick, even when they're being closely supervised. I have these horrible visuals in my head of Buffy sending a TaylorStock guitar spinning into plexiglass heaven, turning it into toothpicks. It can happen! I believe some of the guitars will take as much as 60 days and possibly more if there is custom inlay involved.

JR, I wouldn't worry too much about Buffy ... I've heard she's been quite a good girl after she demolished a Sea Turtle guitar ... so she's been untemperamental for quite some time. :)

Bite your tongue, J.R.! After the dream I had last night that was not a welcome thought. I dreamed that my beautiful 414 was inadvertently done in a cherry sunburst, and it was a badly done one, I mean VERY badly done. In fact, in the dream it looked so bad that Bob T took it from the case and said "who on earth did this?" when I told him I had no idea, he looked at the neck and said "who on earth set this up?" YIKES!

Thank God it was only a dream. I need to stop reading about JW's guitar right before going to bed.

I have this recurring nightmare that my guitar is going to be perfect until....... They accidentally cut a hole in the side for electronics. Oh, I would be heart broken.

Actually, I think I'm just spending too much time thinking about this guitar. What I need is a hobby to take my mind off of the wait. Oh wait, guitar is my hobby. Yikes, the wait is killing me.

In addition, I think Bob said he would be inspecting them personally before they're sent out. That will probably add some time, since I'm sure he has other things on his schedule.

Funny you should mention this JW, or at least term it that...

BT was mentioning that whenever they try things out, they often make what they call Frankenstein guitars, which are just kind of quickly thrown together from parts to test combinations of wood or something like that...

One FrankenSpruce, a FrankenLTG and a FrankenBaby on the side for JW...coming right up!!!

It's funny that everyone was mentioning dreaming about their guitars and such, because a couple nights ago I had a dream that Bob T was having a Taylorstock for little kids, and I was helping him pass out goody bags! It was hilarious!

It's not that long of a wait ... I'd think most, if not all, will be done before December.

I trust in God and Steve314,

That my order is in,

I am like all the rest of you guys I can't Wait.

There are so many variables on mine that I am having a hard time visualizing what it is going to look like. The suspense is Killing me.
