TBondo, nobody has done that, including Stephen Bennett. Stephen won the flatpick contest, but never placed higher than third place in the fingerstyle competition. (1985);)

That being said, he is an incredible entertainer that shouldn't be overlooked.

Allen, you've got to admit that that is still not too shabby...;)

For those of you in the midwest, you will be able to see
Stephen Bennett, Billy McLaughlin, and Ed Hall at Ed Hall's
Christmas Guitar night on December 23rd.

(go to page 3)
As the opera house is a smaller venue, if you are interested, I would
tell you to act quickly as this show ALWAYS sells out early.
Should be a great show, hope to see some AGF'ers there!!

You'll get no argument from me about how good Stephen is, or what a nice guy he is too. I've recorded on a dvd that also includes him, and I've performed with him a time or two as well. He is about as much fun as anybody I've ever played with. He was also a judge at Winfield from time to time, and that included the year that I won.;)

After I posted what a nice guy Stephen was I was thinking that maybe all instructors at guitar camp are nice, after all they're paid to be good folk. However I then reflected on other instructors and performers personalities and realized that its not necessarily the case. ;) Stephen was able to position himself for newbies and advanced folks and encourage everyone.

4 more days to go. You can call Anderson Guitar Gallery for an advance ticket purchase. 214-387-4050
It will be a good week for me. I will be at the Old Town Pickin Parlor in Colorado for a Beppe Gambetta clinic/concert on Wednesday and then back to Anderson Guitar Gallery for the Stephen Bennett concert on Friday. Now...If I could just sneak a new Collings home, it could end out being a week to remember.
I do have a Kronbauer on order but it may end up being the longest 6 months of my life.
