If you're interested in Hawaiian music, or heck if you like music in general, you might check out these upcoming shows next week in New York and Maryland. The Makaha Sons are celebrating their 30th year as a group. I'm psyched to be emcee at the New York show.
Barry Flanagan of the group Hapa said, "No trio on the face of the earth can sing like that! Their majestic three part unison and harmony singing bring comparisons to early Crosby, Stills and Nash and I was hypnotized by the Sons in 1979 by a sound that 27 years later, I still describe as 'entrancing.'"
There will also be `ukulele duets from Daniel Ho and Herb Ohta, Jr. For sure, a fun day of full of music and hula. Maybe see an AGF'er there?
