To All:

I took the liberty of sending a Short "Thank You" to the Taylor staff via their website earlier this week. I thought you'd like to see the response...:

Hi Gutch,

It was our pleasure to host you and the rest of the Forum members. We left the weekend feeling as excited and energized as you! Bob really enjoyed the chance to be a one-on-one builder again and to just spend time talking guitars with people who are as passionate about the subject as he is.

I personally enjoyed putting a face with some of the names on the Forum and helping everyone share in the fun.

We do hope to host another one again and thank you all for coming!

Take care,

Jonathan Forstot

I'm hoping too! :) Seeing as I didn't get to go this time due to a family scheduling conflict, I for one am really hoping they do this again.

Thanks for sharing this message with us, Dave. It's yet another example of how classy those guys and gals really are.

They'd better wait just a little while before another of these events because:

a) I'd have to order another guitar (which would be the beginning of TAS for me)

b) I'd spend more $$ on the guitar than I anticipated before going to the event

c) My wife would be MUCH less understanding than with the 1st one (she was very cool with me spending just a bit more than I told her I would...but I don't want to press my luck twice)

d) Aww...who I am kidding - bring it on!!

Hey Sonshine,

Glad to see you upgraded to that 810 cocobolo...you're going to love it. It was good to meet you...hope to see you again. We make it down there once or twice a year.

Actually, the above post was by Taylormeister...not Anj. One of the hazards of having two forum members in one household using the same computer.

I'm glad I upgraded too - considering it was a "no cost" one. I forgot that you guys missed some of the later wood selecting since you had to take off a little earlier. It was good to meet you & Anj - definitely let me know when you guys head down here and maybe we can hookup for dinner or something.
