And I am flattered, actually, by that! I would say "I am not copying you, I am emulating you!" She didn't seem to care what euphemism I used!

Yes, I did follow her around, (I followed a lot of people around) just to listen to the sounds made by good players!

But, no, actually, I didn't REALLY copy you. I just arrived at the same conclusion that you did. That the new 810-LTD is gorgeous and fantastic sounding! and that those GA 12 strings are just too much! (Originally I thought "A GA 12? Whose dumb idea was that! Nah!")

My "worksheet" had five different configurations I was contemplating including the reverse a 610-LTD and an 854CE-LTD. I also contemplated a straight ahead 614CE-LTD and even a 615-LTD like MJH's.

But in the end, we just agreed, that people with the initials "JM" should have similar guitars!

BTW, my 654 might look like yours from the front, but I got the 3 piece back. And my 810 with the gothic vine inlay and ebony headstock might just be one-of-a-kind. So don't worry, if we both end up at Capt Bill's one day next summer, they won't get mixed up!:)

BTW, I was very glad to meet you!

hahahaha

I thought the saying went, "Great minds think alike".

I'm sorry, but that maple was just screaming for the Cindy inlay. I'm sure you and I aren't the only ones who got Cindy with our maple. It's funny, but I've been sitting here thinking, "how can I make my 654-ltd look different then Joe's?" There's not much else that can be done. I guess we'll just have to suffer having 2 guitars look the same from the front. Oh well. The only thing I can think of would be for me to get abalone edging around the guitar, but that may be too much money. It would look absolutely beautiful, but I don't know if I have the funds. When my guitar is all finished we'll just have to compare pictures.

It was great meeting you too.

Jennifer :D

What kind of pickguard are you getting? Mine is at "none" right now, but I might go tortoise becasue of that pretty cocbolo bridge and HS.

Did you order a headstock inlay? I didn't.

What is the config of your 810?

And BTW "Great minds DO think alike!" And I'm fine with you copying me on the Cindy

No, really, I am NOT unhappy in ANY way if our guitars look alike from the front. If it really means alot to you, then tell me and I'll add a HS inlay or pickguard or something. Oh, hey what about that 900 bridge inlay like Ryan is getting? THAT would look great with the Cindy, no? Let me know what you want to do. I am up for it.:)

Well I hope you made sure Ed was clear about you not getting the headstock inlay. The Cindy Inlay comes with one. Mine will have a headstock inlay and now that I don't have to pay for the cocobolo overlay for the 810 I may add the Cindy bridge inlay to mine also. That would look sweet!.

And right now both of my guitars are with no pickguard. I may change that later, but I would rather the pickguard not be on and then added. I still haven't made up my mind. When the official order is in then I'll let you know.
