I know there are a couple others besides me who ordered a 300 or 400 series Taylorstock guitar. To those who did, by any chance did you order gold tuners or ask about them? I didn't think about it while I was there, but it occurred to me on Sunday that they'd look fantastic on my 355c-LTD. I figure that if they're available and the upcharge is the same as or less than buying them myself, they'd be worth adding now, especially since I won't want to change all those strings too soon.

Thanks!

Hey, Chris. I think Bob mentioned that they wanted to steer clear of custom options on the 300 and 400 series, so I don't think they'd be available on those. However, looking at the custom option list, it would cost you less to buy some Gold tuners and ebony buttons from FQMS than directly from Taylor, anyway. I did the upgrade myself on my 412CE, it only took about 30 minutes, and I didn't have to change the strings - I was just real careful. I think it was worth it. The gold and ebony looks much more snazzy than the chrome, IMO.

Thanks, J.R. That's what I expected, so I'm not disappointed. As you said, I can get them from FQMS, and I think their prices are pretty good. If I can get them with ebony buttons, so much the better. Along with with the stained maple and black binding, I think gold/ebony tuners would look incredible.

I won't count on removing all 12 strings without changing them, though. :)
