I would be up for it, but I can't commit to anything until I know the schedule and details.
The only bad thing is I wouldn't have any nice guitars to bring as my Circa is still under construction.

Bring your Epi with you. I started playing on one of those, would love to see it.

I'll be at the University of Maryland so depending on how far away you guys are, I might be in. If I could play one of those Ryan's it would be worth it. ;-)

You mean just our company alone is not enough to draw you in? ;) :D

Not sure whether I could make it, so don't schedule around me, but I definitely can't do September 16. Perhaps the 2nd or 9th.

The 2nd might be tough for folks as it is the Labor Days weekend holiday, and some folks may be doing family stuff that weekend.
ps - don't schedule around me either. :)

A get-together is a great idea. From the dates that Eric proposed, it seems like so far that the 9th or the 16th is good for everyone. Count me in. Also, I may be able to host... more to follow as I verify my schedule. (I live about 3-4 blocks from Eastern Market metro and easy access to I-395)
John,
I hope that you and your family will be able to attend. After hosting that last several it would be nive to have your company at a get-together that you can enjoy from the guest point of view.

I guess whoever hosts, we should pick a date that conveniences them? I say shoot for the later date to give some more people to plan around ot for more people to know about it. anyone else?
Steve, thats a kind offer for you to host too!

I'm not much of a jammer, but I might be up for it on the 9th. What do you guys like to play. I'm sort of an old fart (55) so a lot of what I play ends up being late 60s, early 70s (Beatles, Simon & Garf, Byrds, etc) with a little miscellanous and my own stuff.

I like to play a little bit of everything. mainly fingerstyle. Hedges, Keaggy, that slap harmonic sort of stuff.
steve, does the 9th sound ok at your place?

The 9th of September is great. We can fine-tune the specific details, but let's start by with the following:
VA/MD/DC get-together:
Date: Saturday, September 9th
Time: 11:00 - TBD
Location: Steve Z's house (Washington DC, near Eastern Market Metro)
email for directions: steve (at) soundtraditions.com
If folks want to go to dinner afterwards, there are several great restaurants a few blocks from my house.
Please reply to this thread or email me to RSVP.

I think I can manage to come to another one of these. ;) But this time I actually have an excuse not to play. I hurt my thumb on my left hand and can't push down on it. :D

I have started a different thread for RSVP now that the date has been determined.

No problem. I have room for about 15 or so. It is a row house but relativel roomy.
To make things easier, please use the other thread dedicated to RSCP.
