Folks, it was fabulous. I'm sure everyone has lots of photos from the weekend. I've gone ahead and posted all of mine up on Shutterfly.Com for anyone to view or get prints. Obviously, if you want prints, it'll be on your nickle (cheap, but still your nickle, not mine <g>).

Feel free to email me directly if you have questions or comments.

Pointers to view are as follows:

You might have to paste these links into your browser. I don't know as I haven't tried yet from the forum here.

Again, feel free to email me w/questions or leave them here on the forum and I'll check for them.

To get prints, you'll have to sign up for Shutterfly (free to do that), then they have some pretty good deals going all the time that you can read about. Or you can have them burn you a CD. Or if you just want a few of the images, email me and I'll send them to you. Or just look. Your choice.

Great meeting you all this weekend. I had a blast. Now, I want my guitars :-)

Best.

Is this the new GA maple 12 string limited for 2002? If so does anyone have any playing impressions?

Hey- its MEEEEE!

Yeah thats the new maple GA 12 string...654...

jmeinel is getting one...she really loved it.

I was impressed with the sound from it...in that you dont give up too much from a jumbo. Obviously, the jumbo will sound bigger, but this little guy did a pretty good job. I'll give it my stamp of approval :D

I absolutely loved it ... it was my favorite GA 12 to my ear ... none of the others came close ... then I looked at what I had (I try not to pay attention to wood when I'm comparing sound) and my heart sank a little ... a maple 12? How can I justify two maple 12s. I guess my ear was just destined to adore Taylor maple 12s.

that 854-ltd is gorgeous. Love that wood binding and soft browns....

Thanks for the impressions. I was kind of hoping that it was the 354 (more realistic financially). Did you see one of those?

Great pictures, Dennis -- thanks! For others' reference, I'm the guy in the red shirt whose stage fright is very much in evidence (second picture in, I think, on the open mic set). Although you can't see much of it, I'm playing my 615.

Charlie, they had a 354ce-LTD and it was beautiful, though I suspect that, as a NAMM Show guitar, it was made with high-grade maple (it was heavily flamed). I didn't see it until after I ordered my 355c-LTD, and it was almost good enough to make me re-think the body size. I don't think it was quite as crisp as the 654ce, but it seemed to be a bit warmer, and I'm guessing that that's related to differences in the tops. Both were Sitka, but one was probably stiffer than the other.

Bottom line: If you want a 654 but can't swing the cost, you can't afford not to get a 354-LTD.

FYI, folks. Thanks to Jeremy, we will have an FTP server up shortly (maybe it's already there). I will upload all of my 161 pictures as soon as I get credential info from Jeremy. That way, you can download what you want and not mess with shutterfly.com if you don't want to.

Ooops.

Yeah, I meant Jeff. Not Jeremy.

Just got out of 3 hrs of meetings and my brain is fried.

Yeah, Jeffrey.

Don't worry Dennis....Ryan was just picking on me because I missplaced 2 letters. He likes being mean and evil like that, especially to me.

Great Pictures Dennis! My wife and I enjoyed your company during the weekend and if you get down in St. Louis make sure you give us a yell. I'm sure Wanita can navigate us to you. Also, after looking at my pictures I realized, (as usual) that we didn't have any of Wanita and I together. You have solved that problem beautifully with a few of yours containing both of us. Thanks for taking them.

You're more than welcome, Terry. I had a great time this weekend and I really appreciate the transportation with you and your wife. Also getting to know the both of you. If I get anywhere near St. Louis, I'll look you up. Please do the same if you get to Seattle.

Now, where are those guitars they're making for us.... :-)
