Thursday Night

We ate, drank and were merry last night at D&B. Around 20 of us were there (tough to keep count) including families. Guitar Trader were our surprise (at least for me anyway) gracious hosts for the evening. Thanks guys!!!

I don't think I've ever heard so much guitar discussion in one place. JR gave some hints about special deals coming for the "pick your own wood" event. Gutch gave us a hard time about leaving so early (12.30am) and not wanted to stay up later and play!!

BTW, I don't mean to embarass him but amazingly JR impressed me even more last night than he has over the past 2 years. We're VERY lucky to have a forward-thinking and all-around "smart person" making this ALL happen (TGF, TaylorStock, etc.) for US! I was also impressed by all of us (no, this doesn't mean I'm easily impressed btw :)). What a great bunch of people!

I think I got to bed around 1.15am and then proceeded to wake up at my usual 6am (grrrr).

Tim, Thanks so much for keeping us posted on the events. I really wanted to go and with you keeping a note or two coming in, in a little way we feel like were there. I got on line early just to see if anyone was posting about last nights events. Thanks so much for letting us be a part of it as well. there is a little bit of me there even if it is only in my mind. We did have a good time last night, didn't we? I still don't know what time I left last night, but if my head is any indication, it was too late.

A funny thing about last night was the question as to whether or not JR actually existed. I think some of us expected to see a hologram walk in. Our suspicions were put to rest, however, when he rolled in at about 9:00 or so.

Lookin' forward to a good time today, too...

My wife and I had great time last night meeting everyone and we want to thank Guitar Traders for being so gracious to us. It was a astonishing generous surprise for us. The dinner was a wonderful way to kick off long term friendships!
