I Am Still Confused

Since I am now e-ticketed and reserved and paid up and whatever as far as travelling to Taylorstock goes, I must admit I am still a bit confused...

Do I HAVE to place a special order with a guitar shop before going if I want to even CONSIDER selecting wood for a guitar? What if I order maple (614) and then get there and am blown away by the cocobolo (810-LTD).

What if I want to get a new dread with the new bracing, etc. which aren't in production yet?

No you dont have to talk to any dealers before you go. You can choose wood and then purchase later. My GUESS would be also that if you chose wood and couldnt work out a deal with your dealer, that Taylor would just take the wood off of hold and you wouldnt be in too big of trouble with them :)

The New Dread I cant help you with...nobody seems to know too much about that one other than the word that it will be on the V neck 5 and 7 series this fall. It probably wont go into production till the 2003 model year and I doubt Taylor will hold a set of wood for you until then.
