Hello...New Here...Anyone Wanna Play for Fun
Hi from Dundalk, Ontario, Canada...

It is great to have a website like this. A community bulletin board...How very cool.

Just saying hi...wondered if anyone lives out my way. I miss playing with people and would love to meet someone local... any age, male or female with whom I can just hang and play.

Winter is over, weather is getting nice...any outdoor parties anywhere? Some campfires need some tunes?

I live in Dundalk Ontario...90 minutes north of Toronto. Lived in TO all my life and just moved to a small town. Went stir crazy over the long winter but now am getting out and about.

Played lived on (community open) stage for the first time in my life...What a thrill. Have now done it 4 times in the last month and feeling pretty cool about it.

I have a beautiful Yamaha 6 string. It's over 30 years old...It was a birthday gift for me when I was young(er). Played for a while back then, but really came alive the last 3 years or so.

I love the internet for getting tabaltures for songs I never thought I could do and now I have a binder and repertoire of over 100 songs...how cool is that for someone who started out just playing your basic three chord songs?

I know a few more than 3 chords now, but still play pretty simple stuff, but it feels good and seems to be well received by those who hear it. Hopefully, there will always be a place for the simple and pure.

I play some of the simpler songs from the following artists...

Eagles
Pink Floyd
Cat Stephens
Counting Crows
Clapton
Neil Young
Blue Rodeo
Rankin Family
Leonard Cohen
Stones
...
you get the drift by now no doubt.

So, anyone from Dundalk, Shelburne, Orangeville, Markdale, Flesherton??? Have Quitar...Will Travel...

Leave posts here and I'll check them out

Welcome to the forum! I'm sure you'll enjoy the stay. There a few of us in and around the area. Me? I'm from Kitchener. I know of a few other forumites from Toronto way. Perhaps there is an opportunity sometime to play some in the future.

Hello,

I have a '77 Yamaha FG 345. I purchased it in record store in '79 .
She's a little beat up but all in all looks pretty darn good and plays ok too!
I'll keep it for ever.
