I have standby that weekend but allready have volunteers to take it from me so I plan on being there. I can bring a dessert for sure! ( I don't bring much musicaly to the table at least I can help feed the masses). In the past I've brought
a chocolate dessert with kahula
a banana cream dessert with kahula
a chocolate pecan dessert with bourbon
( I'm begining to see a pattern here--I like dessert!)
any reasonable requests?

Karin and I will be going (possibly more, if so I'll update this post).
I can bring whatever, but since my drive is so long, it's probably best if I just kick in monetarily (if that's okay with you G-Man). :)

I will be there with DonBob. We'll bring some non-alcoholic beverages such as sodas, juices, etc. And, we'll chip in some to Guitarman for the food. Thanks, again, for setting this up Guitarman!

I plan to be there. I'll bring a case or two of bottled water in addition to chipping with The Guitarman's food bill.

So far everthing is looking good.
Just remember to tell the people at the marina that you are with our group, that way they will not charge you for the parking and marina services.

I might as well make this my first post. My wife & I will bring sodas & water, maybe some snacks, and definately a fiscal contribution.
Gman, are you still looking for help with the cooking? My culinary skills far exceed my musical skills.
Also, is this strictly acoustic? I ask because we have an acoustic amp we can bring, if needed.
I want to thank Texican for bringing this to my attention.
Cheers!

Welcome to the AGF Tony!
Any help with the BBQ Is greatly appreciated. We will be cooking 20 to 30 chickens. So that will be 40 to 60 half chickens that will need to be turned and basted on a regular basis.
Thanks! Joe

Kind of reminds me of an old movie "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers".
In the spring, when the snow melts and the pass opens up, the brothers and the seven women come out of the mountians to get "hitched".
No Jokes about how old this movie is  I watched a rerun. ;)
Sorry you can not make it, maybe next time.

I'm afraid I'm going have to miss the the Lake Houston Get-Together too.
A benefit concert for the family of Mark Vaello is being held the same day. Mark, a moderator for the Fender Discussion Page passed away last Friday evening while setting up for a gig. I first met Mark at the first Houston FDP Jam three years ago and considered him a friend.
I'm sorry to say that I'll be at Mark's benefit concert as well. Mark was a great guy, and will be sorely missed.
My wife and I had a really good time at the acoustic jam last year and were looking forward to doing it again this year. I'm not suggesting that y'all change the date or anything, but if you're interested in attending the concert I'll post updates in here as I get them.
Maybe we can do another jam this year in addition to this one?

Only 26 days remaining for the Get-Together!
It looks like a few more can not make it. Is everyone else still ok with the 6th of May? In 12 days maybe we should get another count to see how much food we need to cook for the event.
I am hoping that some of the schedules will change so that more people will be able to attend.
I still have the song book on the computer from last year. Do I need to make a few more books to bring, or has the book changed?

JoeWell, Steve and Don are still coming (so that's 2). We have copies of both songbooks. But a few more copies would be a good idea. perhaps we should bring some music stands, also.

I have a couple of music stands I can bring and I'll Print up a couple more books.
Also the benefit concert for Mark may end up being scheduled for a different date in which case some of the other guys may be able to attend after all.

I still don't have a final headcount, but it may be anywhere from a minimum of 2 (me and the wife) to as many as 8.
Sorry I don't know more just yet. ;)

Looks like the benefit for Mark's family isn't going to happen on May 6 and therefore, I look forward to being at the get-together. I still plan to bring a couple of cases of water.

Hey guys,
I haven't been on the forum for a long time, so I'm glad to see there is another Spring gathering. I'll be planning on coming and bringing some food, whatever is needed at the time. I don't know if anyone will be coming with me.
I have a set of edited pictures from last year's Lake Houston session that are good to go. Was there a suggestion of bringing prints for a scrapbook? I can bring 50 4x6 prints- that's only $10 at Walgreens. Let me know.
I have a PA now, a Fender 150. I can bring that if it's needed.
See you in May!
