Just a heads up for any Fla. members that might like to take in a Pete Hutilinger clinic.
He will be putting on "an afternoon with Pete Hutlinger" sponsored by Cornerstone Guitars in Clermont Florida on Sat. March the 11th.
Should be a great show, I have seen Pete live before and you don't want to miss this.
The cost is CHEAP.
For information contact Cornerstone Guitars either on line or by phone.
And I hope to see some other Fla memebers there.

I'm gonna be there with RickS, the birthday boy.....hope to see some other AGF'ers there....but watch out, the sponsoring shop sells Goodalls, and that'll ruin your bank account real quicklike......

Just a friendly reminder about the Pete Hutlinger clinic in Clermont this Sat.
Afternoon.
So far looks like at least three other forum members will be attending and I hope to see a few more of our Fla AGF'rs there.
CHEAP admission to a great guitarist.

All I can say is, that if you missed this you really messed up.
Absolutely the best 8 bucks I have ever spent.
Sorry more members didn't get to attend. And see our own Pistolero up there doing some numbers with Pete.
Or here him sing happy birthday etc.
Great time, can't wait for the next opportunity.

It was a good time for sure. Pete's a great guy and a great guitar player as well. He's also a good entertainer, has a good time with the crowd and anybody around him. That was the first time that Pete and I have actually picked together, and it was obvious to those that were there that there was no rehearsel, lol. I just hung on and tried not to crash too hard. But it was a treat to get to play with Pete. He and I had met for the first time at Winfield around '98 or '99. Tbondo took some pictures with my camera while we up there (thanks Tom) and here's one of them.

Rick:

Sounds like a great show and a good way to spend your birthday! I wanted to head up from Tampa, but I had to go to a wedding instead. :(

Anyway, Hope you had a great birthday! Did you pick yourself out any birthday presents at Cornerstone why you were there? :)

Mike

Anyone who has had the pleasure of meeting and hearing Pistolero play knows, knows for sure, that he didn't even come close to crashing when he was playing with Pete......on one song, Pete played FS, Allen played FP, and they did a simultaneous solo...that 30 seconds was worth a lot more than the $8 we paid to see Pete.

Pete is a very talented player and entertainer, I really caught a buzz from how much fun and enjoyment he creates for the audience and himself as he plays. Steely Dan "Josie" arrangement was awesome......as was Santa Rita Connection, as well as an impromptu "Sunny" that he resurrected as he was noodling on something else.

....thanks to Cornerstone Music for hosting, and I'd drive even farther to do it again....their shop is small but very comfortable, Collings, Goodall and Dean were the main product lines, and they (the store guys - John &?) were fun and friendly.

Thanks to my buddy Ricks for the headsup...we got to share his birthday present (Pete and Allen duo)....
